Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Betty and Buddha are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Rabbit of the Week – Betty

Betty the bunny rabbit is a sweet girl that was found wandering the streets and brought to the Shelter by a good samaritan. After some love and care from the RSPCA team, Betty is ready to find a home to call her own!

This little lady is a friendly rabbit who has clearly had a lot of handling in her previous life. She is a snuggly bun willing to settle into the lap of those that she trusts.

Betty is looking for either an indoor or outdoor lifestyle with lots of space to stretch her legs, play and explore. She hopes her new family will be able to provide her with lots of time, love and enrichment as she is a very social bunny that should be an important part of the family.

Betty could be okay living with responsible children provided they are respectful and gentle with her. Betty can be frightened by loud noises so will need extra care to ensure she isn’t startled. Betty could be open to meeting a desexed male bunny, provided slow introductions are made.

Please note, photos of pens and runs will need to provided prior to adoption.

Buddha

Smiley Buddha is hoping to find a forever family to call his own.

Dog of the Week – Buddha

Buddha is a simple dog. He is a big gentle giant and simply the biggest love bug we’ve ever known. Buddha hasn’t had the easiest start to life at the Shelter. He is extremely shy and needs plenty of time to warm up to new people.

With time, patience and love Buddha will grow to adore his special people and will always be up for a scratch. Maybe even a cuddle when he really knows you’re the one.

This young boy is about 18-months old. He’s big and strong and is looking for a similar special person that will be able to take him on and provide him with additional training and regular exercise. Boys like Buddha need to be kept mentally and physically healthy!

We think Buddha has lived as an outside dog for most of his life as he is uncomfortable underneath a roof. But with time and patience, we think he could make a loving couch buddy.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
