The National Museum of Australia is putting on the next instalment of their blockbuster Night at the Museum series this Friday. For one night, they are inviting you to experience the chances others have taken, and to take some of your own, complete with bars, food, music and art.
This Friday’s theme is Chance, so get set for an evening of chance encounters. A fighting chance to win ultimate power and glory, a chance encounter with something to make your heart race, the chance to become a rock star–even if only for three to five minutes.
Museum insiders tell us to expect burlesque and dancehall classes, gladiator duals and a Virtual Reality trip through space. And if you’ve ever wandered about the story behind the saying ‘You’ve got Buckley’s chance,’ apparently all will be revealed.
For those that that are wondering whether there is something out there, Dr Charley Lineweaver will be exploring the chance we are not alone in the universe.
If you haven’t been to one of these nights, this Friday is the time to check one out. Just like your parents once said, “It’s fun and educational.” Okay, they were probably referring to Sesame Street, but hey, this promises to be sort of the same thing but for grownups.
Truly a great evening of fun, and an opportunity – or chance – to discover how chance plays a part in people’s lives through the stories featured in the Museum’s collection. As the man said, “One night only… no second chances… don’t miss out!”
