Days after announcing his Australia tour – including a Canberra date with a ‘TBD’ venue – it’s been confirmed today (4 July) that Post Malone will be headlining Spilt Milk this year.

The award-winning American rapper and singer will be performing at the festival as part of his ‘If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying’ tour, following the anticipated release of his fifth album Austin on 28 July. He’ll also play in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne as part of the tour.

Post Malone will join Dom Dolla as the lead acts for the festival, which takes place at EPIC on Saturday, 25 November.

This year’s Spilt Milk lineup also includes Australian and international performers such as Aitch, Latto, Tkay Maidza, Cub Sport, Budjerah, Lastlings and Peach PRC, as well as art from Studio A, As We Are and Amanda Witucki.

A number of local artists will also be performing at the Canberra date, including Apricot Ink, a group of Canberra-based musicians and producers that take their influences from dub, hip hop and pop; house, melodic and techno DJ Brittany De Marco; indie rock four-piece Sputnik Sweetheart; and DJ Zach Knows.

Zach Knows, who is also the resident DJ at Blackbird bar on Alinga Street, said: “Absolutely stoked to announce I’ll be playing at Spilt Milk this year! Huge thanks to the crew for getting me involved, so keen to be part of such an amazing lineup!”

After Canberra, the touring festival will be heading to the Gold Coast on Sunday, 26 November, Ballarat on Saturday, 2 December, and – for the first time ever – Perth on Sunday, 3 December.

Spilt Milk is Australia’s fastest-selling single-day music festival and tickets have sold out for five years running.

After returning in 2022 after two years of cancellations due to COVID-19, the festival has been growing from strength to strength. Last year’s Spilt Milk was the biggest ever, moving to a new Canberra home of Exhibition Park to accommodate almost twice as many people.
