Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Gem and Mitzy are this weeks adorable ladies looking to find their forever homes. Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Gem
This sweet old lady named Gem has been through the wars. When this little pooch arrived at the Shelter she was suffering multiple medical problems. With some TLC and many weeks at the Shelter and in foster care, she’s ready to find her forever home.
Gem has the scars to show that life hasn’t always been great, but the smile on her face will tell you otherwise. She really is one tough cookie. When you look beyond her scars, you will see she is a little shining light with loads of love to give. Gem needs a forever home that will give her love, daily strolls and plenty of games of fetch.
Due to Gem’s medical history, she will be suited to a home where she can be the ‘only dog’. This gorgeous blue beauty has a love for life, and wants to find a family she can cuddle up to and call her own. Gem is the kind of girl that will spread love and joy in your house and be the most loyal companion!
Cat of the Week – Mitzy
Mitzy arrived at the Shelter as a surrender through no fault of her own and is now search for the purr-fect home to call her own. Mitzy is a sweet but shy little lady who prefers to spend quiet quality time with her people.
This lovely lady thoroughly enjoys a good head rub and will smooch and rub all over people to help reciprocate. Mitzy is about three-years-old and is looking for a family with no children, that is patient, gentle and has plenty of TLC to spare.
Mitzy would prefer that she is the only cat in her new household as she likes the idea of ruling her new kingdom. This smoochy lady will be an indoor-only cat due to her shy nature. She’ll feel most at home inside a cosy house with treats and toys galore.
Mitzy is ready to pounce out of here to her new home. This lady cannot wait to start life outside of the Shelter, and is eagerly awaiting your visit!
