Party vibes are in the air as spring warms up in Canberra and party experts from Armada Bar and The Boat House are gearing up for a spring bash you won’t want to miss.

The Armada Bar was a seasonal open-air bar attached to The Boat House, but with the team busy with opening new venue Beltana Farm restaurant at Pialligo, Armada Bar took a hiatus over the previous summer season. But that cruisey and boozy vibe is coming back to The Boat House for a special event in October to officially say ‘see ya later’ to winter!

“We’re pumped to bring the spirit of Armada Bar to The Boat House,” said James Souter, Director at The Boat House.

“This party is all about celebrating the best of spring in Canberra – with great food, drinks, and unbeatable vibes.”

The Boat House space will be transformed into an indoor/outdoor cocktail bar for one night only, evoking the memory of Armada Bar. Guests can enjoy bottomless bubbles and rose from local winery Collector Wines, as well as Capital Brewing Co beers on tap and spring inspired cocktails using Lost Phoenix Spirits vodka and gin.

“It’s not just about the drinks – it’s about the entire experience,” said James.

“From sunset ferry rides aboard Love Boat’s 103-year-old MV Reliance to live DJ sets and mouthwatering food, we’ve curated an evening that’s all about relaxation and enjoyment.”

The vibes will come courtesy of DJ Brother J, who’ll be spinning the decks, moving from chill tunes to upbeat bangers as the sun sets and the afternoon sesh turns to evening revelry.

The Boat House is once again partnering with Love Boats and offering sunset rides on the 103-year-old MV Reliance which will take guests on a brief scenic cruise before dropping them back at the party. Don’t worry, it might be an antique but it’s certainly seaworthy (or should that be lake worthy?!) Back on dry land, join in the lawn games or relax in luxury with canapes and sunset vibes.

As to be expected from The Boat House, food offerings will be top-notch as chefs get in on the open-air action with an aromatic charcoal station and a celebratory paella cooked up for guests’ entertainment and enjoyment.

The Boat House team have been working hard to reinvigorate the lake as a destination for Canberrans to enjoy at any time of day, from coffee and a pastry at Parisian-style lakeside cafe Margot to one-off events like this Saturday Session. Guests can be assured that they’re in for a delightful (and thoroughly Instagrammable) luxury lakeside sesh.

The Lakeside Saturday Sesh will be held on 19 October from 6 to 10 pm at The Boat House, Grevillea Park, Menindee Dr, Barton.
All-inclusive tickets to the Saturday Sesh are $155, bookings essential.
