Armada Bar is putting on a last hurrah to farewell the sunshine before we head into winter. Your Sunday Best is a four-hour Sunday sesh with a luxe vibe and plenty of entertainment, just in time for daylight savings to end on 2 April.

Armada Bar is the seasonal, open-air, pop-up venue next to The Boat House. The bar runs from October to March and in its third season has become a favourite spot for classy cocktails in a stunning location.

General manager James Souter says they’re looking forward to farewelling the season with a bang.

“There are a lot of guests that have had a nice time over season three, and we wanted to give it a bit of a send-off in style,” he told Region.

Guests are encouraged to dress to the nines in their Sunday Best for the afternoon of cocktails, dancing and even boating!

The ticket price includes a boat ride aboard the beautifully restored 103-year-old’ MV Reliance’ from Love Boats Canberra which will take guests on a brief scenic cruise before dropping them back to the pontoon at Armada.

The owner of Love Boats, known as Chicago Charles, is a local musician who often performs at Armada Bar. James says they’re pleased to be able to incorporate Love Boats into the Armada bar experience and allow guests to appreciate the views of the lake from a different angle.

A cocktail and snack on arrival are included in the $50 ticket price, with further cocktails for $15. The casual bar snacks come straight from the award-winning restaurant kitchen at The Boat House, which changes all dishes seasonally.

James says that the menu for next season at Armada Bar will have completely different food and cocktail options, so this is the last chance to taste any favourites!
