Canberra’s premier two-week flower festival, Floriade, is back next month with tickets to its NightFest on sale now.
This unique night-time spring celebration of flowers is set to feature three stages, live music acts, contemporary dancers, roving performers and more across four days.
Events ACT marketing director Sarah Marks said NightFest had been on a hiatus for the past two years due to COVID-19.
“We are very excited to once again welcome the Canberra community back to NightFest from Thursday, 29 September, through to Sunday, 2 October, on the 35th anniversary of Floriade,” she said.
“A total of 101 performances and activities are on offer across the weekend, with something for everyone.
“There are activities and entertainment for kids too, including neon face painting, glitter tattoos and balloon modelling, along with roving entertainers.”
Sarah said this year’s program was set to offer two distinct moods, ‘Unwind’ and ‘Invigorate’, with local performers and groups to be featured throughout.
“Come and unwind with chilled out sounds, a massage and a glass of wine on Thursday, 29 September and Sunday, 2 October,” she said.
“Then, dial up your weekend a notch on Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October and experience the electric and energetic party vibe.”
On the Friday night, performances by Alinta Barlow and Ernest Aines Band are to be expected, as well as a working hands massage workshop.
Taking place on the Saturday, there will be performances by Jumptown Swing, Lolo Lovina, Punch Joy, Will Campbell, The Sunbears and Rio Samba Shows.
To end NightFest, Kopasetic, Muesli, Super Massive, The Decideds and Aya Yves will perform.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children and concessions, $65 for a family of four and under fives enter free.
