It’s a weird day when a subpar performance is welcomed by Raiders’ fans but that’s the beauty of stadium golf.

Come December, Canberrans will be able to play 11 holes at GIO Stadium, going from putting in the Brumbies changeroom to trying for a birdie from the stands.

Changerooms, the player’s tunnel and field entrance will all be opened for the course so you can go for a hit and snap a pic for social media of your favourite player’s jersey.

The holes vary from 77 metres to 110 metres and the tee elevations range from the forecourt level to level 5 of the stands.

Putting

There is more on offer for this year’s Stadium Golf.

Players get three shots from each teeing platform, greens are on the field and scoring is based on how close you get to the hole on your best shot.

Daily session prizes will be awarded to the best female and male golfers.

Stadium golf will operate between 14 and 19 December. Tee times are at 8-minute intervals for groups of four people throughout the day. Daytime and evening tee-offs are available and each group is escorted through the 90-minute course by personal caddies.

Players will be able to tee off from the field’s entrance.

Tickets go on sale 16 November.
