Spring is a great time for Canberrans to get their bodies moving, especially when trainers from Club Lime are leading free outdoor bootcamps for Lifeline Canberra at Floriade.

Boot camp is a familiar morning routine for many in the ACT. The group-based outdoor workout session gets the blood pumping for every fitness level. With an emphasis on a fun workout, the Lifeline Canberra Bootcamps at Floriade are suitable for the whole family. Whether you’re a regular or you’ve never tried bootcamp before, this is the year to put on your runners and head to Floriade for some fitness fun with the group fitness trainers from Club Lime.

The free classes will be held within the Tipi at Floriade on Sunday, 29 September and Sunday, 6 October from 11:00 am. You don’t need to book, so just rock up and get moving!

Club Lime’s Marketing and Communications Manager Leah Doyle says, “We’re a proud sponsor of Lifeline Canberra and we’re excited to be partnering with their team to deliver this series of family bootcamps at Floriade”.

Once your workout is done, you can wander the grounds and enjoy the 32nd year of Floriade and its ‘World in Bloom’ theme. With over one million blooms on display, Floriade is the perfect place to experience the beauty of spring.

The bootcamps at Floriade are previews for Lifeline Canberra’s second annual group bootcamp to be held on Saturday, 2 November at the University of Canberra.

The cost to attend this event is only $26 per person – the cost of Lifeline providing one phone support session. Lifeline provides 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services for all Australians experiencing a personal crisis.

Lifeline Canberra’s Jenine Woodman says, “We hope the bootcamps will raise community spirit and wellbeing, along with raising vital funds for our crisis support centre”.

The November event offers two levels of bootcamp: Serious Bootcamp kicks off at 8:30 am and finishes at 9:15 am, while Family Bootcamp starts at 9:30 am and finishes at 10:15 am.

Participants for the November bootcamp need to register and purchase tickets online. Children under 16 are free.
