| Alex Tricolas

Headline act: Flume

Get ready people, Spilt Milk is coming to Canberra in December, promising a lineup of music, food and street art; all wrapped up in a day of festival going at Commonwealth Park

A host of street-food vendors, including Newtown’s rockstar burger joint Mary’s, Sydney gelato legend Messina and Bao Stop, the people behind the famous Gua Bao, will join a host of foodies, musos and artists to support Flume as he celebrates the release of Skin, his critically acclaimed sophomore album, at Spilt Milk, a one day festival of music, food and art, this December.

Gelato legend: Messina

The event is being organised by the people that once brought us Foreshore, and they are promising something very special for this new festival. They say Spilt Milk will be the scheduled Canberra show for Flume’s world tour, and that this will be the first ever full-production Flume headline performance in the capital.

A bunch of music artists are lined up for the day, including Canberra’s own Peking Duk, along with some of the best emerging electronic, hip hop, dance, trip-hop acts from Canberra and across the country.

“The intricacy of their art-form will engage your senses and draw you into the spaces of Spilt Milk.”

Street art: Vans the Omega

Serious street art from talented Canberrans and from around the country will be getting a massive look in, with acclaimed graf artists from Phibs, George Rose, Voir, and Vans the Omega amongst the lineup, and more to be announced. “Each artist will transform spaces within the event during the course of the day,” says Spilt Milk spokesperson Rubi Piekalns. “The intricacy of their art-form will engage your senses and draw you into the spaces of Spilt Milk.”
